The board has a bunch of connections....I am adding the power switch, that it does not have. Just going to interrupt the positive power in. But every other connection is a double ended connetion. I have to take the volume connection off and solder to the potentiometer. There are Bluetooth connections, aux connections, the board is a mono/stereo combo so I have to splice the speaker output wires per the enclosed instructions.I've done it a million times in my various lifetimes, but I would use 3%-4% silver solder for lowest possible resistance... what are the various leads for? Power supply?![]()
Solder station, shrink and heat gun in hand.
Have at er'! I still stand by my preference of silver for audio purposes... A spool of Cardas 4% solder was about 70-80 bucks if I recall? The board has a bunch of connections....I am adding the power switch, that it does not have. Just kidding I have a whole roll of nice audio grade solder. It may not be silver, but to be honest, I already have WAY TOO much in this thing, last thing I want to do is pay $80 for solder. This stuff will work fine.NO sir!!! Plumbing silver solder is not ok for this purpose! Not the same stuff at all...![]()
normal 60/40 solder is fine of course- I just have a preference for silver... higher conductivity...Just kidding I have a whole roll of nice audio grade solder.
