I’ve been there. There’s still a dent in the door from a phone (Long Story)

long ago i threw something hard enuff that it bounced into the speaker grill and put a nice hole in a woofer.

i went to the shop i used to work at and was going to order a new woofer for it but they wanted $60+ for a 10" stamped frame fisher woofer.

nope. that was almost 1/2 my min wage 40 hour pay check.

it was from a rent a center. i just stopped paying on it and they repo'd it. never heard a word about it.

Follow up. 18 hours, rested 2. Sliced and bagged. 11 meals and a bag of meat for Chili.

It’s been probably 40+ years since I heard this. I didn’t recognize it until the chorus. I remember it on the radio once in awhile
