My brother took care of my Dad for the last 10 years of his life. I thank him every time I see him for doing it. If I lived closer I would have been there......but made sure anything he or my brother needed was on their doorstep ASAP.

Taking care of loved ones is hard. Help my wife out with my mother in law. Stubborn 83 year old Spanish woman.
we got seriously lucky finding a memory care facility for her. best thing that could've happened.
she was around people like her. she enjoyed it there surprisingly. the staff was fantastic.
i miss her. she passed 2 years ago.
Same thing here. Wine bottle corks are a favorite lol. I finally put a drop in screen to halt that weirdness. That noise is the blade slowing down. If you run water until it stops it should stop making noiseI replaced ours in the last year. Of course my bride turned it on with a dishcloth in it within a weekThe good news is it still works, just an odd noise when you turn it off
Wow. I get it. I too went to 10 different schools before graduating HS - lots of lessons learned from transitory life......
They want to stay independent and having someone around isn’t pleasant for them. And if their mean like my wife’s grandfather it ain’t no picnic. I cooked that old goat breakfast every Saturday for a year. I’m talking primo stuff. Not one thanks, Nothing lol.

So when I was cleaning today I found a box of some of my knife collection, I’ve posts pics of my vintage SAK’s from the 1950s but I don’t think I’ve ever showed this gem. A vintage Balisong butterfly US made. Super smooth action. I had a few of them but one got confiscated by the dorm supervisor while in college. Bastard I know he kept it for himself lol.
