You should be able to select all of the parameters manually as if you ran YPAO??Is this a new thing on Yamaha AVRs to truncate the signal to the front and centre speakers at 80hz unless the AVR sends a signal to the speakers to confirm the speakers can perform accordingly to the specs of the AVR
I never had a high end Yamaha AVR like yours but I did have a entry level Yamaha AVR . The YPAO on mine allowed me to select Large or Small for the speakers the frequency sent to the speakers was determined by the Yamaha softwareI can change the the cutoff frequency, but I didn't see a "full range" setting? I do a manual setup as the YPAO is a pain compared to other AVR's I've had, and my living room arrangement is not conducive to putting microphone stands on the sofa, with the mic cable just barely long enough to reach the reciever. and doing 3 runs in each position... I use a laser rangefinder to determine exact positions, and input them manually- it then wants to know the cutoff freq... from my recollection... and like I said I don't recall seeing a full range selection?![]()
Yes, same show here more or less... but as I mention, the YPAO on mine is quite complex, and for the reasons I mentioned just before, I chose to do a manual setup... I may try to run the YPAO software to see what differences occur?I never had a high end Yamaha AVR like yours but I did have a entry level Yamaha AVR . I'm gonna say one thing here I don't f'ng care where you're from. The people in the actual health care industry are not f'ing thinking about anything but you if you're on the operating table their responsible for FULL STOP.Yea like their weekend homes… lol
The Pioneer version worked really well. I would fine tune it but I let it do its thing for a baselineI never had a high end Yamaha AVR like yours but I did have an entry level Yamaha AVR . I briefly had a $1200.00 Sony AVR that was an awful AVR in terms of build construction, being made out of recycled beer cans, and the main relay gave a big kerthunk at turnon, and literally shook the whole AVR! It lasted a month before said relay ate itself! HOWEVER, it had the easiest calibration process imaginable- place the mike in the sitting position, and do one click of the remote and it ran to completion! No shifting of mics to 3 positions and doing a sweep 3 times!!! However the AVR was total garbage...I never had a high end Yamaha AVR like yours but I did have a entry level Yamaha AVR . Oh it did allow me to actually physically measure the distance the speakers were from the screenYes, same show here more or less... but as I mention, the YPAO on mine is quite complex, and for the reasons I mentioned just before, I chose to do a manual setup... Your KARMA runs deep Brother!!! WAYLTRN is the ONLY place this happens!

Really nice remaster from original master tapes by EPIC and STERLING SOUND
Excellent pictures of, shall I say, a Classical space. We used to build stylish architecture; now, it's ugly minimalist concrete.
They are idiots. I found the same thing, namely, how do you differentiate between what's large and what's small. As usual try both and let "your" ear decide.Eggzactly... but here's the thing- it was working up until recently without changing the setup to "extra bass", and if that's the norm, it's stupid because the Yamaha truncates the bottom end of the fronts and all large speakers at 80Hz regardless! So why ON EARTH would you turn the sub off if you select large speakers??? Get my drift?![]()
