What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

I know that album to well....

The track "Mississippi" is one of the worst songs she ever did. The content of the track is fine, but all that grunting and moaning sounds like she is constipated... rest of the album is good, I just cant take that track seriously.

On another note, someone at work cleaned the coffee pots with some dish soap and must not have ran enough water through them as the coffee taste like soap. SMH....

Killer Deal ^^^

@djwhy60 Free shipping too!!!

I have (4) of the Optonica amps, (2) 4305s and (2) 7405s. They are hands down my favorite SS amps. I have 2 of each in the event one has issues i have another one to use while one is being fixed. Hands down some of the most underrated amps one will find. Anyone who has ever listened to the slim line units know how good they sound. They are warm and seem to have never ending power. I almost want to buy this one but I dont need 3 of them. Hope someone gets this and posts about it in this forum. If they do Id bet they will be shocked at the sound quality!

I was very surprised to find that HiFi Engine doesn't include Optonica in it's Database it seems to include some of the models under it's Sharp listings. :o

Optonica was Sharps higher end offerings, really popular in Japan and Germany, not really known in the US.

That said, that little amp will rivel a lot of better amps, ask @john111/LZ if he likes his.

i looked at it. i can not knowingly buy another amp that uses stks. i just can't. i know they can sound good but i'm just too hard on stuff. to repair it once exceeds the value if discrete stk kits can even be had. this thing uses a 3rd stk as a voltage amp. there are no discrete kits for that part.

Not me I am a fan of STK amps, and the STK they use are common and they make simple kits to convert the STK chip the 1050 i believe that can be built as a full circuit.

There are many different PCB kits for this STK.

The SQ is worth it, they are legendary.

Id take one of those cheap STK amps over many MANY flagship receivers of its era. They just sound that good to my ears.

Peter Green WAS Fleetwood Mac !

He formed the band choosing the members and direction. Granted, yet much like Genesis Van Halen AC/DC Pink Floyd Black Sabbath to name a few of the top.

The remaining members after departure still put out amazing work. Different to some degrees still quality IMHO. Nothing to be ashamed of, like if they became a tribute band playing the old material with a new front man....

Just saying.....
