Thank you all....it wasn't something I enjoy doing....but my job is to handle this stuff with students...so be it.

On to cooler stuff....Any SOCAL guys here?? @bobabode ???? I saw these on the non profit....I am a sucker for "local" radio station releases. I have a bunch from WFIL out of Philly.
KGB a station in San Diego used to release albums that raised funds for United Way. Well I found 4 of them and took a chance. Local bands to the area. Maybe some that you SOCAL guys will know.

That's so cool Donny! Are you familiar with anything on those albums?
I have found a couple from the Detroit area over the years! I love getting my hands on stuff like that because it's a bit of a local time capsule!

None of the names ring a bell...but I need to do a bit of homework....could have been a star in one of the bands. They need a GOOD cleaning....smell a bit musty...then I will spin them up. I really love finding stuff like this!

I must admit, I don't usually analyze music at all- it's all about how does it affect me- does it have an emotional impact on me? How is the sound quality? This is very important to me- sound must be primo! I guess this the audiophile in me listening... mic placements are critical, dynamic range etc...
I personally get moved by this stuff, and that's all I need... I just listen... :)

DeeCee’s October Surprise: the HVAC unit decided to die; what started as a $200 job swelled to $800! :eek: :rant::eek:

Believe it or not it’s “good” news as the coil being replaced is $1200 or more; but we’re getting it for free as the unit is still under warranty.

But still… ARRGHH! :rant::rant::rant:

My water heater is effed... been frozen a couple of times during the brutally low temps, and the elements must been affected... now it's warm water at best... :(

The worst day of my working life was when I had to fire an employee.
They legitimately had no justification to be employed with the company, so they didn't have a leg to stand on.
That said, it didn't make doing the deed any easier.

I feel for ya brother...

I used to abhor "conferences" with underperforming direct reports, and don't miss this at all. Now, I manage the expectations of end-users. I find this immensely preferable!

Yesterday, I installed a 750VA UPS, fiber-to-Ethernet converter, PoE injector, UniFi AP, and patch panel in a high place. We still need to complete Ethernet wiring for the building, and add a switch, but that won't happen until next Summer. Getting fiber to the building was the most expensive and challenging part of the project. I'll mount the AP in a better place soon.
