1981....driving a TR7 through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel came out the south lane at 3 AM or so heading back to Pax River and were way behind....I think we were doin around 102 mph.....that wedge sure could fly...I know we were airborne for a few feet!

Circa 1987 Cincinnati tunnel at 2am heading to a Dead concert in a ex Wyoming State Police intercepter tripping balls at Mach 1. Just stay between the lines and you can play all night. The tunnel lights are stupendous

I was being a tool- playing Johnny racer around an unknown ramp off the 401 highway- waaay too fast for the decreasing radius turn. and just couldn't turn enough and slammed the guardrail... ouch!!!
Years ago I was driving my Dad's 91 Accord back from my Home town to Sudbury Dad was in the passenger side. It had been snowing but 17 was clear but the on ramp I took wasn't clear and when I came onto the ramp and started the curve the rear end stepped out. Luckily my speed was low enough I was able to catch the skid and hold a throttle controlled slide around rest of the ramp. Later that night I was downstairs at my sister's and I heard Dad upstairs telling her and my BIL about it.

I used to autocross Rabbits and Scirocco's in the 80's , and I took out one of my new projects on the 400 Hwy in Ontario, doing 110 mph!! It wasn't a stock A1 model Rabbit... lol That's pretty hairy as they would turn on a dime, and the steering was laser sharp and direct, and being a little over 11 feet long, high speed straight running was not it's forte! lol Twitchy AF with the wide, sticky Yokohamas... I certainly didn't do that often... interiors were always totally stripped out, roll cage in, with a tach and a speedo, battery and oil pressure gauge being all the gauges in it... also a 14 inch Momo steering wheel... man I miss those days! :)
