What are you Listening To Right Now? - and more

The Whole Foods I remember from its '80s and '90s start in Austin differs significantly from the monstrosity it became following the Amazon purchase. It used to be a single-location hippie shop that expanded until it was sold to the Bezos Empire.
I wasn’t even aware of it until they started popping up in old Kroger stores. Definitely was not ever my go to supermarket

For another good waxing . . . we have the late game this afternoon vs the Bills , I have some shirts and a couple of nice jerseys that don't fit anymore , no war paint though :rflmao:

Looks like you guys are off to a good start , gonna have to look again didn't see any early games I wanted to catch , I missed your game so I might catch that while I wait for kick off.

Things certainly have changed. RIP

I lived couple blocks from Whole Foods in Palo Alto, California when it opened there in 1989.
It was very nice, but it was very expensive. Didn't go there often.

Finally went to the Whole Foods on Maui after searching hard to find things.
Was shocked the extensive produce was fresh and cheaper than the other stores.
Fancy things are pricey, but overall the prices are pretty good.
The deli/hot food section is very big and is great.

I drop off my Amazon returns there.

Love Trader Joe's when I lived in California.
When I visit there, friends on Maui asks for stuff from Trader Joe's.

That makes sense though cause from what i've seen Austin is so different from where i live it might as well be another planet.I guess eventually they couldn't pass up the money.I didn't know Amazon owns them.

WF maintained a flagship store in Austin, and it was certainly different from the locations I have visited in other cities. I haven't lived in Austin for years, and have no real desire to return, so many things of which I could be unaware may have changed.

I used to shop at Trader Joes a lot, however, like Sprouts, they started catering to a different target market about 10 years ago. I currently only go there for the Dijon Mustard and specialty cheeses. I tend to shop at Costco and Smart & Final with the occasional Vons stop for their sales on beer and meat.
They do have great cheese selections and the meat and bread department is pretty cool. Some of the best salmon I’ve cooked has been from Trader Joe’s. But there’s something weird walking around. For one thing, Everybody looks like a zombie. It’s almost like walking around with a bunch of actors lol

Brushing out the chimney, couldn't do it last year and it looks pretty nasty.
Had the overwhelming urge to play
Learning To Fly by Pink Floyd.

You live in a beautiful area, T. Stay safe!

Oh yes, the lot in La Jolla is filled with Benzs, Range Rovers, Teslas, and BMWs. Is that a 70s Celica in red? Also, what's the white car?

The red one is definitely a Celica, and the white car looks like a late '70s Tercel.
