I have two favorites:
Martin logan cls2: transparancy and huge amount of details, best for jaZz and vocals
Usher be-10: everything sounds great on them!....
And for me, both are the best looking speakers!!

I'm with twiii ... Depends on material and mood.
For the $ I had in them, I really liked my NHT 3.3's for rock. With the right amplification they were stunningly 'live' sounding for dynamic drivers.
For solo or small group acoustics I liked my Cain & Cain Abby's (hi-eff single driver). Not terribly extended at either end, but you-are-there in the mids with a great flea amp (I used a Don Garber)
I really liked a friends Usher Be-20's, but they were ruthlessly revealing and picky about everything else in the chain.
I have yet to experience really good panels, but do lust after the big Soundlabs. Experienced big InnerSound stats that were unbelievably real and detailed but only if you can keep your head in a vise. A couple inches either way and the magic disappeared.
There was one room at a CES a while back I could have stayed in forever ... A Walker Proscenium feeding Viva mono blocks driving big Zingali speakers. Sounded like liquid sex. And beautiful with the lights on too.

Yeah, I really need to hear a pair of those at some point. The AR9 just might be my perfect "once in a while" speaker for certain music, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Blood Sugar Sex Magic", which I imagine is incredible through those, or AC/DC's "Back In Black". Stuff that really rocks, you know? And "Who's Next" must be a revelation. The AR9 would be a great alternative to my W90's, if I had enough room for them. And JBL L300's would be a nice contrast as well. Both are known for their smooth leading edge.
The LST's versus the W90's is a battle I wouldn't mind seeing. Have to say, I've wondered about it for years. Or the W60D versus the AR3, or W90's versus the original alnico Bozak Symphonies, or SFB3's versus ESL-57's. Those would be some epic battles. Someday...

Every time I say I have a speaker that I'll never part with I wind up selling them. 
Of my current crop of speakers, that I own, I doubt that I will ever sell my Sony SS-M7 or my ADS L-710. Neither reside in my main system, although the Sony's are certainly good enough to be there. But for the small investment I have in either I would be hard pressed to better them for the same amount of money.
I've had a lot of favorites over the years but the only one I truly miss are the Dahlquist DQ10s. :tears:

my Polk RTA-12C's just might be the most underrated speaker out there,I went to look at several pairs of pricey JBLs that were sale locally and i was convinced the tweeters were not working but after further investigation it was just me comparing them to my RTA-12C's
the high frequencies are incredible and the bass produced by a pair of 6.5" drivers along with the 12" Passive Radiators still impress me every time i hear them.
i might have passed these by if not for some suggestions by a couple of members here.
the only speakers i have owned that will never be for sale,now i need to get my hands on some Polk SDA-SRS speakers to get the full vintage Polk Experience

Nostalgia is a factor here, but I have to go with dlk 1 1/2's. Bough a pair at a thrift store in my mid teens with a Marantz receiver and they changed my life of only knowing hand me down Technics products.

Toshiba ss330w These have pushed a lot of well regarded 70s speakers out the door.Do I have better sounding speakers ?yeah but these are just so musical that they are my go to speaker so much in fact that if these were all I had I would be ok with it.
