What brand is this woofer?

[Endre Viken]

Hi,

anyone here know what brand this woofers are? Am thinking about buying them. seller claims it`s a set of Monitor Audio, Gold w15`s, but there`s no name and number on them. I tried to google but can`t find them any where.

I would venture to guess:

US Blaster High Power Chrome.

US Blaster? Oh, the humanity.

They do look kinda well built though.

I know, right? You would think marketing would come up with a better product name.

That's only a 2" voice coil. 500 watts maybe for a few seconds at a time, tops.

More like maybe 200 watts "RMS" (continuous) power.

They would go low, though- in a big box (about 10 cubic feet each or more, vented at somewhere near 18-20Hz). Pretty easy to get darn close to 20Hz out of them before significant rolloff.

Regards,
Gordon.

Looks like a great project, impressive looking. The car audio guys must be deaf, eh? Maybe it will make them sterile.

It's almost as if you were *waiting* for this question for months just so you could post that page. Nice catch!
