Just had to create this thread and share our gifts...

Here's what I got:

-A Toolbox (not pictured)

-A rare, sought-after NOS unsigned copy of "Stop! Sit! And Think." by Charles P. Eisenmann (c.1968). Unfortunately the glue holding the pages together has greatly degraded, and become brittle. Despite my gentleness, the first two pages seperated clean off from the rest of the book.

And that was just half the gifts. First thing tomorrow, we shall head to my father's and open up the rest of our gifts

The usual. We have plenty and aren't swayed by trends, so the last few years I ask for Pffernuse cookies, Hawaiian coffee and fun socks. This pineapple pair got that ball rolling a few years ago...

Hakko FR-301 Desoldering tool and Hakko C1100 Iron Holder. My wide responds well to less than subtle hints (email links to items). I'm really looking forward to trying this out. All my previous desoldering has been done with a regular iron and Soldapullt type solder suckers. I'm hoping this will make my repair and restoration projects easier and more efficient. This tool gets good reviews here and elsewhere so I'm hopeful it lives up to the reviews.
