What did you get for Christmas?

A new STEELERS sweater. We’re pretty superstitious. We will buy, but not use new STEELERS paraphernalia during the season. We’ve caused havoc before. We’ve learned our lesson.

-Panasonic RX-CW50 in "fair" shape - couple things are broken but it's nothing that remarkable to me.

A used three album set of Frank Zappa's "Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar, ...Some More, and Return Of...". College friends were visiting for Thanksgiving two years ago and mentioned I could have their copy. Covid hit with no physical meetings between us, I forgot about their offer, and then this arrives for Christmas. Such a pleasant surprise. I've got some listening to do.

Exactly what I expected, nothing. Since my wife died some years back it's been just me. Every day is just another day in the life. It took a while to get used to being alone, but with the way people are these days, I've come to prefer it. I do get with about a dozen friends weekly so I'm not totally alone.
I'm not a scrooge. It pleasures me deeply to see others at their happiest. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
 
What did I get for Christmas you ask? Nothing Audio related but even better than that Family! Starting on Xmas Eve then Xmas Day and now today Boxing Day.Three glorious days of visiting Family.All my Kids and Grandkids and even my Wife's brother and sister and calls from distant relatives like cousins and such:)
 
Today our daughter and son-in-law took us on a backroads trip to the towns of Julian, Ramona, Poway, then back to Chula Vista.

Tomorrow we'll head north to Corona to see our son's new home, the back up home in the central valley.
 
I got the latest James Bone movie "No Time To Die" on BluRay. Not a bootleg, an authorized copy. Don't know how, I thought it had only just been released in the theatres.

A pottery starter session. I’ve wanted to try it for ages. A pair of late Victorian/Edwardian style, fishtail-back high-waisted trousers. It’s such a long time since I wore braces/suspenders. The trousers are from Darcy Clothing and have button fly . I also got 3 months online oil painting tuition videos from Michael James Smith
+ gift card to spend in his shop. The best thing was my sister-in-law telling us her chemotherapy is blasting away her cancer at a fast rate. She was understandably worried, but this news made all our Christmases.
