What do I HAVE?

I picked the exact same console a few weeks ago. All I could find out is the manufacturer is "Ultratone" and it is made in USA. Mine came with a yellowed service manual and I've included the schematic. Check out that funky voltage doubler/serial filter capacitor arrangement.

Very Cool. Thanks a lot. So apparently it is from Audio Industries out of Michigan City Indiana? Does that sound right? Honestly I am still learning how to read schematics, and right now anything beyond cleaning knobs and fine adjustments is beyond me. It will be fun to learn on it though.

On the VERY bottom of the Tube, it has a 7 etched in the glass. Printed on the Glass is rx3 a9d in black, and then 038 in white. I REALLY have no idea what I am doing or looking for.

rX3 = EL84/6BQ5 tube which is what you have.

A = Wiener Radio Werke "WIRAG", Wein (Austria)
9D = 1959 April

Nice tubes and amp. These type of amps sound really good as a standalone amp in a stereo system. That is what I use from Magnavox.

What type are the smaller tubes? And who made them?

rx3 A9D indicates Philips/Wiener Radio Werke in Vienna, Austria. (Philips owned or contracted with scores of plants throughout Europe and even Japan.) Any Philips EL84 of that era is a great find and they are wonderful tubes. Hopefully the loose one is still good.

All the tubes still have a silver coating meaning they should still be good right (hasn't turned white)? The pins were bent on the random tube, but I bent them back into place and it fit.

6EU7 are very good tubes too. Looks like it was made in the 39th week of 1960. If the 6EU7 has an octogon around it, it was made by RCA. OS 6EU7s are getting harder to come by.

I don't see a rectifier tube, probably using diodes for rectification.

A good sign that all the tops are silver but it doesn't necessarily mean the tubes are good. They may be past their service life. They eventually wear out.
If they have white tops there is no chance they are good.

The 6eu7s are more than likely good. They last along time. The 6BQ5 could be good too. I have found many output tubes in consoles that were still good.

So I was reading, and somebody suggested to get rid of the caps right away, and replace them. Is this good advice, or is there something else I should do first? Sorry for all the questions it is my first Tube piece.

yes good advice, do it. do not hesitate. make a lise of what you need and order from AES(tubesandmore), tube depot or wherever you like. yu will not be sorry and you'll have no worries of smoke coming out.
dewire the cans and replace with the individual caps under chassis. The electrolytics.
you can leave the cans inplace.

I call it total refurb with all new caps and resistors. best way to go IMO.

I say these places because of low ship per order and they will have all you need from 1 place..

As already stated... yes. It is not too hard to do yourself, if you can solder. They are the weak link after decades of slowly degrading.
