A guy from another forum was complaining that when he had to use a public toilet recently, his gun wound up on the floor....I suggested that he carry a 6-foot loop of 550 Paracord in his pocket, and use it to suspend the gun inside the stall. Just about weightless, takes up no room, it can save you a lot of grief....
Remove your piece, and slip it securely into your side pocket. Never take it out and put it down, as there is that non-zero possibility of leaving it behind. I wear an inside the waistband holster, which I can easily remove with my piece still in it, and it will all go into my side pocket, securely. I have dropped my piece on the floor, while in a stall. I learned.
If your piece hits the floor, with a round in the chamber, you better have a Glock, or it might go off. A glock is never actually cocked, so it won't go off if tossed, or dropped, even with a round in the pipe.
