What are the asymmetrical speakers in the corner, the speakers with the white woofer, and the silver faced receiver?

I actually picked up the ESS AM1b at this yard sale on that Sunday for $125. The Woofer and Passive radiator were intact and so I just plugged it in and let it rip. The sound was great and half an hour wiping off the dust and wood polish, they look damn near new. I just missed on the Kenwood.

I would say you did very well. Especially with the woofer and passive surrounds intact. Somebody must have done work on them. Unlikely they survived as original since the speakers were new. The Heils alone are worth more than twice what you paid. Enjoy. Some pics would be nice.
