What is your Avatar??

I have been looking at Avatars for some time, and more closely recently, and I realize that I don't know what many of the Avatars represent.

Some are obvious, others are not.

And what may be obvious to me may be impossible to figure out to others.

And not all Avatars are audio related.

My Avatar, for instance, is currently of Mushmouse and Punkin' Puss, a pair of cartoon characters from days gone by.

So . . . what does your current Avatar represent?? :scratch2:

My avatar is an old historic house in disrepair a couple of houses down across the street from where I live. It was an Inn located half way between Flint & Saginaw on N. Saginaw Rd. It was frequented by horse Carriage & buggy riders on the plank trail. Many would stay overnight & resume their journey in the morning. After the automobile became commonplace, it was rumored to be a bordello for a while. The neighbors would like to see it donated to Crossroads Village, but so far that has not happened. I used to deliver The Flint Journal to the Frost's who both passed away years ago. Their son lives in another house adjacent to the property.

Mine changes often. Usually it's Yeller dog (a yellow lab). At the moment it's the label from a Jensen speaker in a '57 Fender Super amp.

I also change mine quite frequently. Currently it's the driver of one of my Tannoy NFM-8 DMT's.

Until a couple days ago I had an actual picture of my face as my avatar (imagine that! :D), but right now it's my "nuded" Dynavector 10X5 cartridge, which is what I'm using as I type this.

My avatar represents one of my other hobbies; building and rockcrawling Jeeps. Building and tweeking audio gear and listening to music are where I concentrate a lot of my spare time during the winter months.

Mine is a photo of a painting of my grandfather, who was once ranked #2 or #3 in the world back in the thirties. He once fought in Chicago while staying at Al Capone's hotel. After the bout, my grandfather and his entourage were having dinner at the hotel when Mr. Capone approached him and asked if he would be interested in staying in Chicago to fight for his camp. My grandfather declined the offer and lived to tell about it. Mr Capone proceeded to pick up my grandfather's 2 week tab at the hotel, including dinner.

I love old magazines, and this is an enlargement from a Popular Science issue from the 1930's. I just loved the vintage artwork of a guy wearing headphones! Also, I love digital flac files, so I threw some text in!

Currently mine is Pablo Picasso's "Three Musicians". It represents my passion for listening to and playing music. Plus I really like the works of Picasso and the colors / tones / hues he used in this one.

It will probably change soon, then this will make no sense. :D

Mine is one of the most life changing events I have experienced. Spending nearly a year deployed to Iraq reshaped me in many ways, most of them positive. It's a year of my life that was very hard, usually sucked, but one I wouldn't trade for anything (well, almost anything).
