What reel to reel decks do y'all use?

Used one in the control room when I was in radio from '88 through '97. Already well used when I got there, we continued recording and playing back on-air daily with it with utmost depedability. A true warrior

Don't know what happened to that machine...I would hope it's now in the hands of an AKer somewhere!
 
But to answer the question -- I now use a TEAC A-4010S and X300

More recently got into R2R, probably through some nostalgia for my radio days.
 
I still have the Revox A77 that I bought in December 1972 at the Kitzingen, Germany Audio Club while I was stationed there. It still works, but it needs a tune-up. About 5 years ago, I bought another on ebay from an elderly gent in Las Vegas who had refurbished it in his spare time. It runs just like brand new and sounds terrific. I have about 150 reels of music (about half recorded from LPs and about half ROIOs transcribed from cassette trades). I recorded everything using an outboard Dolby processor to control tape hiss. Currently I use a TEAC AN-80 for the Dolby playback.
 
I have an Akai GX4000D in my home office, a Pioneer RT-909 in my main system and an RT-707 that needs some work because the tape slips off the transport when it's in reverse play mode.
 
Studer 807 Mk.2 2-track High Speed model (7.5/15/30)
Has timecode center track for locking the machine to other devices.
Also has mic inputs and Phantom power, which is fun if you just want to plug in and jam straight to 2-track :thmbsp:

I too have a Pioneer RT 1020L deck. It works and sounds just great. I've had it for over 20 years with no problems. I would like to have it's big brother, the RT1020H.
 
When set up, I have 3 Revox A-77 to choose from- 2 IVs and a III. I also have and sometimes use a Teac A-6100 as well as 4 ITC Series 750 decks that I'm clueless what to do with at this point.

Whoa!!! That's an impressive list!

My current decks are a Revox B77 mk II, a TEAC A3340S, and three Pioneer RT-707's. All except the TEAC are getting almost daily use!!!
 
For a long time, I was pretty much just a 3M guy, but I've sold off the M-79-2, M-79-4 and the M-56-8.

I still have:

3M M-23 1/4" 2-track machine (original 15/7.5 rim drive transport)
Otari MX-5050 B II (15/7.5 version)
Teac A-3340S 4-track
Otari MX-5050 MK III 1/2" 8-track.

For perspective, that's what I paid a year and a half ago for the Otari MX-5050 B II machine in good working order from a KC studio owner. I didn't even have to do record side calibration.

Actually, I think it's also what I paid, including shipping, for the Otari 1/2" 8-track, and all it needed was a new pinch roller.
