What reputation has Cerwin Vega got?

Oh, by the way, in answer to your original question I PERSONALLY would consider Cerwin vegas to be "lower" middle of the road. But thats in a very wide spectrum from SH** to several thousand dollar speakers. AGAIN before somebody flames the hell out of me- THAT'S JUST MY OPINION! Hope this helps! Good night gentlemen!

As for the whole "build qaulity" vs "sound quality" arguement, I know that Cerwin Vega has a decent following, and for the most part, I don't understand it. To me, its like the "I like it loud and dirty" type of listener. But whats got me confused, is the other day I saw a pair of CV's go for over $1,000 a pair with over 40 bids. They didnt look like your typical CV's except for the trademark red surrounds. I think their model # was Pd-6 or something similar to this. They looked more like Yamaha NS-1000m's then any other model of CV I know.

That auction stood out in my mind because A) They were Cerwin Vega and B) Thats alot of bids for any ebay auction. So te be honest, that model has piqued my curiosity.

I still support my previous stance that most CV is hard on the ears and eyes, but it begs the question if maybe CV got one right??:scratch2:

Anyone know the model I am referring to?

Well folks, for my money, you've exhausted this topic, and with a bit too much of the attitude that AK tries so hard to avoid.

Thread closed, unless the forum mod or an admin wants to monitor it closely. As for me, it's late and I'm goin' to bed!
