Someday I'll do a shootout and keep only a few favorites. I particularly want to compare the AMT Daytons, the Philips ribbons, and the Linaeum tweetered Radio Shack models 'cause I love exotic tweeters.

My brother gave me his Polk Audio Monitor 5Jr. I ran them on my system for a few days. I hear the potential but a they are a bit bright (SL2000s). Not sure I want to spend the time and money to replace them and crossover caps. The overall cosmetics are great. Probably will keep them for that lively sound.

Same here. They aren't bad sounding little speakers, but the SL-2000's are kind of bright. I replaced the SL-2000's in my Monitor 10's with the RDO-194's and it really made a difference for the better.
But like you, I'm not sure it's worth the expense with the 5jr's.

Like several others, I have EPI 50s and Minimus 7Ws.

There's also a set of tiny Missions around here too.

The only ones that are currently in use are the EPI 50s. They're the rears in my surround system, along with M150s for the L, C and R positions. The subs in this system are also EPI 8" woofers with passive radiators, in two larger-than-normal boxes. Flat down to the low 20s.

Regards,
Gordon.

AR18B
CSW Model Six
Bose 6.2
Ohm Model E (first version)
EPI M90
Realistic Nova 6
Dahlquist M905 (maybe not that 'small', but it has an 8'' woofer, so I consider it a small speaker)

Scott S-14
BA HD7
Pioneer CS-51

I have picked up speakers that have allowed me to hear the house sound of different brands. The goal of current small speakers is bedroom duty but there is the possibility that they might become the mains if serious downsizing happens. Many of the 'Had' column might be better than one of the 'Have' column but were easier to move on or were coveted by others. The current leader of the pack is a newer speaker the NHT SB3 that has proven itself in the main rig. None of the other speakers can do that.

I stopped before the size of the L710, AR and other speakers in the 1'x1'x2' approximate size as these are not small.

Have
Luxman MS-10
Dynaco A25-SEAS
Polk RTi38
Vanco CPC-50
KEF Q15
ADS 300i
ADS 320i
∞HTS with sub for surround system, has 5 2-way speakers.

Had
Polk Monitor 4
Polk Monitor 5
Boston Acoustics A70
ADS L420
ADS L520
ADS L570/2
A25 Scanspeak
Paradigm Titan
Paradigm Atom
Paradigm 7SE Mk II
Ohm E
Marantz HD44
Luxman CS-6 (rear shelf angled box car speakers, they were great)
KEF Q10
EPI M50
IMF Super Compact II

Not vintage enough
Sapphire SBS-gone
Insignia-still here
NHT SB3-Keepers

A/D/S 300C were my favorite car speaker of all time. Mounted on the rear deck, and small advents in the rear seat box, for bass.

Infinity Intermezzo 2.6 as desktops....they are just lovely sounding, and easy to drive.

Insignia B2111 on the treadmill shelf.

Ferguson Hill FH007 for my son's room.

Monsoon IM 700 cannot almost not be beat for computer monitor speakers.
