I worked in a small build shop when the White Stripes came out. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying they are bad. I know they have a large following, etc. However to me they just sounded like fingernails on a chalk board. One of the guys 3 benches over worshiped that band, in fact if it were possible he would build them a temple and become the high priest of Stripism. He forced the rest of us to listen to that CD over and over for a week. Somehow his crappy little Soundesign or York or whatever that POS was made its way to the shipping department and got filled with shipping foam. (I can neither confirm nor deny that I was involved.)
 
Hey Vega, no talking about smashing Stereos here! That is like a mortal sin here. I'm surprised no one else has said what I'm saying. Smashing one's stereo, especially if it's a beautiful vintage piece like mine would be considered an act of audio war! :yikes:

Anyways what would drive me bugger would be Rod Stewart or Michael Bolton, absolutely cannot stand them. I would rather get mauled by a pack of wild dogs than listen to those two. :D

I'll agree with Michael Bolton and would have agreed with the Rod Stewart thing all they way up until hearing him doing some bluesy type rock on an old Jeff Beck album. I became a believer, he can really belt out that style of music with the best of them.

I just realized tonight driving across town, that I have a deep dislike for Bruce Springsteen and anything he calls music. He's one of the few artists I can't tolerate at all.

Me too. I think it has something to do with tthe fact that he always sounds like he's taking a dump when he sings.

It's not a stereo, but I came really close to putting my foot through my tv the other day when I walked in and the "Hollaback Girl" video from Gwen Stefani was on. It gets my vote for the top 10 most annoying songs ever!
