The port, tweeters, and midrange look very similar to what you find in early 70's Rectilinear speakers. The shape of the cabinet is like a Lowboy model of the Rectilinear III, but the driver layout is wrong.

Could be very nice speakers.

Not Rectilinear (no whizzer cone hexagonal midrange, no damping in the port and not peerless tweeters) and not Bozak (no Bozak drivers at all). I think a clue may be dust pattern on the bottom -- the grill was v shaped.

That was my first thought. Not the 9's for sure. I have never seen the 8's.

I think the edge is too wide to be Marantz.

They are Aztecs. I think I am going to pass on these. I have a couple other pairs of large speakers waiting to be fixed up.

Not Wharfedales or Marantz Imperials. From the tweeters, it is a good size box. Too square for Rectilinear Lowboys. Nothing like a Bozak or any NE speaker I am familiar with.

Yeah, I'd pass on those, too. Not enough "cool factor" to have them around just for shits and giggles. Well, to me anyway.....
