What speakers are you running with your Onkyo Integra gear?

I have an Onkyo Integra M-506RS amplifier and P-306RS preamp sitting in a closet. Just recently, I have moved into a bigger house so I have basement where I could setup the Integras. I have EPI 100s and Martin Logan 10" Dynamo subwoofer but I think that the EPIs may not be a good match for the 100+ Watts amplifier. So question to all Onkyo Integra owners: What speakers are you running with your gear and how do you like them?

This is just a casual discussion. I have no budget set or plans for immediate purchase. Just want to get an idea or your opinion what would be a good match for my amp and preamp.

The question should be what electronics are you running with your speakers.

Choose speakers first!

I've got an M-504 hooked to some AR3as. Or, I've got AR3as hooked to an
M-504. (and a P-3150V pre and an EQ-35).

Sounds pretty darn good in just about every way I can imagine.

Onkyo Integra TX-890 Receiver, hooked up to various speaker pairs (through a speaker switch box). Large Advents Stacked, AR3a, JBL Century L-100, KLH 17, Dynaco A25xl, and Frazier Concertos. To these old ears, they all sound great with the Onkyo.......125 watts per side of good clean power that seems to pair well with anything I throw at it. The AR3a's, being 4 ohms, really benefit from the low impedance power rating (down to 2 ohms) of the Onkyo.

M504/P301 with Polk SDA's or Infinity RSIIIa's or Definitive Tech ProTower 400's.

I've got very early Legacy Audio speakers, but I don't know the model name (not Advent Legacys) hooked up to my Grand Integra M508/P306RS.

Sound is pure awesome. I've got to find out which model of Legacys I have. They are amazing speakers (and beat out all my beloved ADSs)

Thanks for all the replies. It looks like the Integras go well with lots of different speakers. Somehow I do not like my EPI 100s with my Onkyo stack. I am debating on trying different speakers or doing a full recap (and then trying different speakers).

Vandersteen 2C's with Aragon 18kMk2 pre and Onkyo M504. Clear as a bell, but sometimes a bit dry.

Well, you are welcome to pop by over here to listen to a few combinations.

Might be a bit of a drive, as I'm outside of Seattle. No one mentioned ADS, but I'm a big fan and have only heard a few speakers in this price range that can beat them. Lots of good models to choose from...

My fave was m504, p304, eq35 powering Infinity Crescendo 3009s. Dual 10"s + emit tweeters + bouncing VU's = Hella sound

M-5060r feeding a pair of Sylvan Elite's.

Next week I'm pulling the Sylvan's to do a recap and upgrade the connectors. At that time I plan on plugging in a pair of Audio Analyst PhaseMatrix M8's.... or ADS L-570.

After that I'm going to do a recap on the Onkyo.

All these projects have been put on the fast track after one of my Acoustat servo amps blew a transformer. Sad face.

I always wanted to try either ADS or Boston Acoustic speakers so I will keep an eye for some local deals. I also read some reviews and it looks like Magnepans may be a good fit so I as soon as I trim some of my audio gear collection, I will be getting the MMGs. I guess you can't have too many speakers. :-)

As my sig states, I have an Integra DTR-7.1 home theater receiver running a set of Mirage OM5 and a set of Linn Saras in my workshop, in stereo "direct" mode. It's super clean and very capable of running some challenging speakers. The Integra line is definitely an under-the-radar set of gear. If you like the EPI sound, try going up the food chain to a larger model.

M-506. Ohm F and Burhoe Blues. Can handle impedance loads as low as 1 ohm. Dark Side of the Moon, baby!

I am using Dynaudio Audience line for HT with a DTR 30.3 but I don't think it drives them well.

Same Onkyo stack into Jbl 4315s. Long range plan is to get my Knight KB85 tube amp restored and use that with the Omkyo pre.

M-504amp & P301pre (sometimes adcom pre) have ran many different speakers over the years... MTX aal212, dual 12" woofers, very loud party type speakers. variety of speakers back in the late 80's & early 90's ranging from cervin vega d-3 to d-7. infinity SM115. def tech bp-30 & bp-7002. klipsch kg5.5. then progressed to klipsch forte, forte2 & chorus 2, finally settling on klipsch cornerhorns. the klipsch sound great with the old onkyo integra gear but they are now ran off an adcom 200wpc system, it has more bottom end but the onkyo has a better upper end. klipsch & onkyo make a great match.
