The Polk 12C's are the best IMO. The prices are all high for CL, however.

Why don't you just sand them, patch them, and spray them a nice lacquer black if the cabs are really nasty? Veneering them is more work, but you'd get the nice look of wood, albeit it that it might cost you quite a bit more in time and materials.

Ugh. That certainly complicates things....:yes: :thumbsdn:

You'd probably want to strip the vinyl to get a good for both glue or paint, so that makes the whole deal messier. You could probably use contact cement to glue the veneer on, but that's a bit trickier as you have zero open time to adjust the flitch; once you mate surfaces, you're stuck.
