True, I am just waiting for some parts, so I have exiled them to a corner of the basement so she doesn't really notice them. When I do get them up and running, my plan is to put one on each of the sliding glass doors, turn 'em up, and see if I can hear them from the riding lawnmower! God I love getting old!
Jokes aside, I am sure that I will enjoy them, but right now I am in the "experimenting with gear" mode to see what I like the best.
No wife anymore just a really good girl friend who loves all my speakers, good thing too, I would hate to see her have to go!Same thing happened in my house...Wife loves the A7s.

I have a really big open floor plan, living room ,kitchen dining room with high ceilings, that is where my speakers live and breath.
A-7's, Klipshorns, custom built 19's by me, bozak symphonies, I never was a fan of the bozaks, they just had a muddy sound.
Then I bought a dynamo st70 tube amp and hooked them up, WOW what a pair of speakers to say the least, tubes make a difference!
No bass boat for me, I tell everyone this is a hobby/ passion that I can enjoy till I am dead, not dependent on the weather.
Just today I put some jbl 2405 on top of the a-7's, they really came alive with that addition.
I really can't comment on the newer speakers, because everything in the house is old school, they sound great to me.
I have had more than one guy tear up listening to all these speakers, The comments are pretty much the same , they have never heard that kind of sound in a persons home before.
No, these guys aren't wimps, they were fighting back tears because they have wives who would not let anything bigger than a bose wave stereo in her house.
The a-7's are the most impressive to see in a room , they all are great speakers, but I think the Bozaks connected to the tube amp is the real sleeper in the bunch.
