I had a BW tonearm for years laterly running it with an AT ART-1 lo output MC. I disagree strongly that the BW is unsuitable for low compliance cartridges. The solution is simple.
Add more mass to the counterweight such that it is close to the pivot assembly.
This is easily achieved with penny washers blu tacked on to the back of the stock weight.
There is a common sized washer that is a good fit and does not look unsightly.
The weight scale on the front of the counterweight is no longer accurate so you will need external scales or guage.
I used this on various sprung Scottish decks , latterly a Source and I could put the suspension in to full bounce with the record playing and it was completely stable.
Try it folks , it works a charm.
