What type of speaker are you a sucker for?

I always do a double take for wood grain tower speakers. I don't own any, but I sure love the way they look.

I also have a weakness for active studio monitors, there's just something I find so cool about them.
 
It's hard for me to turn down any JBL that has at least an 8" woofer, even if it's clearly one of their lesser pieces.
 
In my case it would probably be better to ask what kind of speaker am I NOT a sucker for? I like good quality and I like variety.
 
i always love a good pair of 2-way's with a big horn and 15" woofer :yes: i have a soft spot in my heart for them :D
 
Passive radiators. Efficiency of ported cabs (nearly), without the bass hump. I don't know why they never caught on (but I do have my theories...).
 
Big and the bigger the better. Big sda's and big subs in particular. That combo has made me stop speaker rotation in my main set up.:yes:
 
VOTT's. Never even heard any, but there's lust in my heart. Damn silly, I know, but I just have a thing for them.
 
I guess I would have to say I'm a sucker for 2 way monitor-type speakers, preferably with a 6 to 8 inch woofer. I like the sound and the proportions somehow just seem "right".
 
I haven't heard a Danish speaker yet that I didn't absolutely love. System Audio (In both my 2-channel and HT room), Dali, even any speaker that uses ScanSpeak drivers always sound great to me.
 
I apologize to the forum for my first post on this thread. I was just in one of those moods and was not trying to start anything. I am glad to see that it was removed. If I am allowed another chance here I will say that my favorite type of speaker is one that is open and transparent and that is capable of imaging correctly with a wide and deep sound stage. My Andromedas have given me that for many years and that is why I have not changed them out for something else. I don't care for speakers that are bright or over corrected in any given areas..............
 
ADS speakers have always got my attention. They just sound right to me.
