What vintage speakers are you using with your Marantz receiver?

Just curious what everyone is listening to with their vintage Marantz receivers 20-45 watts? I have a 2238B that I just recapped and I already had some Klipsch KG 2.5's that I bought in the late 90's I think (long story short, had a Yamaha M-85, C-85, T-85, AR9LSi along with over 400 LP's system stolen and never really replaced them) . But my heart and soul is still in the 70's when I grew up. Love the look and sound, but also the nostalgia. I've always wanted a Marantz and at age 62, I finally got one! And also rebuilding my vinyl library. So just wanted to see what everyone's experiences are with vintage speakers. I want to get my entire system comprised of 70's equipment. Looking forward you everyone's responses!

I'm liking the sound of my AR2a's with my 2270.

I didn't care for them when I had them connected to a newer (late 80's Onkyo) but it was also a different space so that probably played a role.
 
When I faced a similar situation a few years ago my perception was that to get the bass response that you need for that era of music you need a 3 way speaker so I would park those Klipsch KG's. In the 80's things moved to Surround Sound & 2 way speaker designs. Klipsch still makes some fantastic 3 ways that would be great but a bit pricey. You might want to think about reconditioning some of the classics from that era including JBL, KLH, AR as well as the older Klipsch & others. I was fortunate to have a shop that could rebuild just about anything within a couple hour drive. Just some food for thought.
 
Marantz Imperial 5-Gs being powered by a Marantz 2240. Terrific pairing that gets a lot of things right.

2215b powering a pair of Klipsch KG-2.5s with Crites Ti tweeter diaphragms and a powered Klipsch subwoofer. The sub helps a ton as the low powered Marantz isn't using all of its headroom to reproduce low frequencies.

I also have a 2275 paired with a pair of restored Cerwin-Vega VS-120s. A better setup for rock and roll I have not come across.

Thanks for the feedback. Agreed , the bass response from the KG's is lacking.

Really like the looks of those KLH's! Is that WC-22 original or a reproduction? Looks really good.
 
Not a receiver but currently listening to my Marantz 1060 - 30 wpc - with ADS L710s but swap them around with NLAs and Dynaco A25s. The 710s win.
 
Been rotating gear around and got the Advent NLA out and connected to some Marantz.

I’ve rotated a lot of gear over the years and the NLA always impress me when I hook them up.

I ran BIC Venturi 4 and 66 back in the 70s. They did plenty well.
