What will your spouse do with your audio system when she becomes a widow?

In a couple of years they will make a pill and i will swallow it
This pill will turn me back into a 18 year old who never ages again:D

Like previously said, maybe it will be her. What will I do with all her clothes, jewelry and what ever? No idea, and I don't think she cares.

If I go first, she has a pretty good idea what my gear is worth on the open market. Some she will keep, some sell I guess. I suppose I should type up a list for her in case. Too depressing to think about though.

I just saw another comment where the OP said he got a speaker from the widow of a former RCA engineer. Do you have any idea what your spouse will do with your beloved equipment? Will she give it to GW, give it to relatives, run an estate sale, sell it for ten cents on the dollar on CL? Just wondering.

I have spoken about this with Mrs. Wiggy. She will contact Andyman. This will probably be a surprise to him. Hi, Andyman! :D

Haven't picked the tune yet but the wife has been instructed to crank every knob to 100% so they'll know I'm coming!

The big fear is that she'll sell it all for what I told her it cost.

Haha! When I was in car audio I did a nice $3,500 set up in my car. When the wife ask how much I spent I said I got a good deal! I got it on sale for $135. She thought long and hard for a minute and said ahh that's not TO bad!

Our kids and friends will take what they want, a few choice pieces will go on ebay, then have a yard sale. Finally the rest goes back to where it came from....the town dump or the curb.

Just asked. She'll keep only what she want's (can use) and sell the rest. Maybe let the kids pick stuff for themselves.

I've told LA to get on here, & either offer it up, or ask advice on what to do w/it all.

My wife knows the value of SOME of my pieces, since she bought some of them, but I imagine I'll tell her something along these lines as well. Let the AK community have first dibs, or perhaps sell to help a site that has given me so much.

I don't even care what she does with my body, much less my speakers. I'll be dead after all, what difference does it make?

Knowing my wife she would probably take it down to the high school and give it away. I think that actually sounds kind of nice.

She passed away first. No one to tell me no when I look at hi-fi items but my wallet. My step-kids will dump them along with my collection of knives I have accumulated.

She knows what it's worth, so do the kids, since we've both been buying and selling stuff for quite a while. She's run estate sales too, and is savvy on how to effectively liquidate assets.

I'd thin down the herd though and am actively pursuing that route now, as I'd rather leave her a bank full of cash that a basement full of old gear...

If I die slow enough, it will go on BT before I go in the oven. If I go too quick to liquidate it myself, it will go to my daughter. It will take a while for it to grow on her and her husband, but I am sure it eventually will.

She'll keep all of it, and it'll keep being used daily.

She's a rare woman that shares a similar critical ear to me and actually has decent taste in music and her own appreciation of quality gear.
