What will your spouse do with your audio system when she becomes a widow?

I think my wife will keep at least the most important pieces. I know for certain she will keep my IMFs, and probably the Kefs. I don't see why she'd want to get rid of it, she likes the stereo quite a bit and I think it would be a momento of me.

Then again, I'm only 26, so this is a long ways off! I hope. :)

She will call a friend or two of mine and offer it to them, maybe take a midrange cup and convert it into an urn to keep me in would be a nice touch, -naw she would not know a midrange cup from a soup can, never mind........

Like previously said, maybe it will be her. What will I do with all her clothes, jewelry and what ever?.....

Her clothes went to charity. I lucked out I guess, a couple of hours after the funeral the phone rang out of the blue and it was one of the local charities. They were coming out my way in a couple of days, did we have anything to donate? I looked at the big piles of clothes and said "sure come on by!" (Veronica had a clothes hoarding obsession, every room in the house was overrun by piles of her clothes) That first donation I gave them over 40 big garbage bags full of clothes and shoes. They came back in a month and I gave them another batch the same size. It was actually a good thing for me to get rid of a lot of her clothes so soon, that way I was still numb while I put them in the bags. I gave the expensive jewelry to her daughter, I still have a couple of Tupperware containers of cheap costume jewelry to dispose of. I've got just a couple of big boxes left of her stuff, it's been two and a half years.

Before she passed, I started to write a will for the disposition of my stuff, and got stumped by a lot of my tools, electronic equipment, and whatnot. I still don't know what to do with them and I have not finished a will.

If your systems are worth anything you should make it clear what you want her to do with if not they will wind up like it did for me. The husband died ages ago and was an audiophile of some sorts and nothing was done. 20 something years later the kids are grown and she has to move to downsize. This is how I wound up w/ my Polk SDA 2Bs for $50 w/ the i/c and all. If I had more cash and told for $3/400 I'll take all the vintage gear she would have jumped. The collection had a giant Onkyo receiver,Thorens tt,Ohm speakers, good looking racks and assorted other stuff in every room. Over at the Polk universe they couldn't believe that deal and they were in pristine condition just awoke from a 20y/o coma.

A lot of people will be writing about their unbelievable Scroe!!! :banana:My wife can't even turn the things on!
But that's ok, where I'm goin the music will be better than anything I have heard here!:thmbsp:

"Sell it", she said, "I have one stereo system, what do I need all this stuff for?"

The stereo system she is referring to is an old Sony Pro-logic receiver, Sony 5-disc CD changer and Technics 3-way speakers. I don't know if she will be using her Radio Shack Optimus SW-12 subwoofer, but the foam was already showing signs of rots before we put it in storage. Ha ha!
