What's it worth?

i understand that the original poster hasnt posted since he originally asked but cut him a break.we dont know if he is the original owner or passed on to him from a family member.cut the guy some slack.mabe ask why he is stil asking 2 years later .i understand that people sign up here then disappear after they get their answer but theres no reason to be rude about it.

I feel this in my heart. My dad was an audio engineer and when he passed away I got all of his stuff. Right after he passed I tried to look up prices for a lot of the items so I could sell them quickly. Now...3 years later I still have everything. I could never go through with deals because there was so much sentimental value of these items, sometimes I never even replied to messages, not because I’m a flake but because my dad just died and I was distraught. Now, I’m more interested and excited to find out how great a lot of this stuff is and what it’s worth because my dad loved not good audio equipment but great. And now I get to figure out exactly what I can use and how.

Your dad wants you to be happy. If holding on to the stuff makes you happy that's what you should do. If flipping the stuff and buying something cool with the proceeds makes you happy that's what you should do.

I was definitely very happy when I hooked my Klipshorns up last night for the first time☺️

I have Hereseys and love them. Sadly I have neither the room or budget for KHorns but wish I had both.

My first real exposure to anything hifi was working the AV Dept at Boston Conservatory when I was a student. They had three pairs of LaScalas. Two pair in the theater and one pair for mixing in the control room. I spent a lot of time with those.

Personally I love that stack, thanks for the photo. Those are all nice Pioneer Flouroscan Pieces but I don't think the tuner matches the other two components. You also have the really cool Pioneer Branded Rack, I snapped up a few racks back when you could get them for a few dollars and you had a pick-up truck. Value is difficult but anything under $800 would be a steal, and like some of the other posters mentioned, a few thousand dollars is not out of the question.

People pop in and out, they take the time to register and post, it's better than what I hear often, "oh we had a Pioneer Stack like that, just threw it out last week."
