This is one of those bands that takes me a few listens to "get". I'm not sure I'm there yet. They came to my attention because their first album was recorded at Saddle Creek Records in Omaha - less that 30 minutes away from me.

Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You

On first listen, I'd have sworn that a couple cuts on the album have the intention of driving casual listeners away. Maybe so... but after a few runs through the entire album, I started to hear things differently.

Wet Leg - S/T

Released in April and already made the #1 spot on the UK & Australian charts. Been quite a few of their videos on AK over the past few months.
