When I was 10 years old my big brother bought me Neil Young Harvest! Incredible album still today. The next music milestone was my first concert, Bad Company, with the show openers being Kansas and Poco at the Philadelphia Spectrum in 1974. "Don't You Know that you are, a Shooting Star"!!
SAdly, Kiss Love Gun did not stand the test of time with me...Wish I had that copy now though. My brother and ex Sis N law had a big armoire full of albums that I wish I knew was today....This was circa 79-80 and they graduated High school in like 75 so it was full of classic rock stuff. I know my brother doesnt have them...maybe I should track down his x??

So many when we were kids... several Bill Cosby albums, Tijuana Brass (Lonely Bull), Belafonte (one of his Calypso albums), some Hootenanny album, Andy Stewart (A Scottish Soldier?), Ink Spots, Mills Brothers, Lionel Hampton, Maurice Chevalier, Mahalia Jackson, Leontyne Price, lots of Classical and Opera, including Chopin and Madame Butterfly.... Many more I can't recall.

It was these two albums. I was a kid in the '60's and listened to these albums over & over.
Same here - was into KISS big time when I was a teen. At one concert, I was close enough to go home with "red stuff", from Gene's spitting scene, on my jean jacket.
Also the same - can't stand the KISS music I used to be so fond of. Same with some of the earlier Joan Jett stuff that I use to worship - can't listen to it.

Blew me away on first listening and is still a favourite, as is the band.
A little classical influence, enigmatic & cerebral lyrics from the well-read Keith Reid, few songs in the 'my baby treats me mean' genre, and everyone had great chops, especially the insanely under-appreciated drummer, Barry (B.J.) Wilson:

It was these two albums. I was a kid in the '60's and listened to these albums over & over.
The first LP was the Mamas and Papas "If You Can Believe Your Eyes and Ears" my parents played a bunch, but the first vinyl I ever owned was a 45 of the novelty song "Beans in my Ears" by the Serendipity Singers my dad bought to cheer me up when I was ill. My sister still laughs about that song.
First Album I remember purchasing was Sha Na Na in maybe first or second grade. (it was really bad if I recall) Next one I remember was ZZ Top Eliminator in 5th grade I am sure there were some in between but those I remember although mainly until them I was mostly listening to my middle brothers stuff.
