It also depends on what skill level you have for repairing those receivers. If you don't dabble in fixing up vintage pieces, you need to look at what it would cost locally to bring them up to snuff. I joined here to learn from others the tricks of refurbishing orphans that need a lot of work because I like the challenge. My soft spot is the X2X and X3X Pioneers that can be fixed fairly easy. If you want reliability and no repair hassles, maybe the new equipment is the right approach. Enjoy the tunes.
