It dominates the news. It's in the papers. It's on the internet. Everywhere you turn, you just can't avoid it. It's like another Michael Jackson Nightmare.:sigh: Or Princess Diane story..... So who is severly sick of hearing about Tiger Woods crash? .....(hand up) ME!

Haven't heard or seen it. I haven't watched TV for over 5 days, But yes I can imagine. I did not even look in the post. Please tell me in one or two sentences what happened. (Really I have no clue) All I know is that he is one good golfer.

I think it's great. A supposedly unflappable, untarnished perfect person revealed to be as flawed as the rest of us. It also helps that I haven't watched TV in 4 days.

Moderators Note:

I've already removed two political references from this thread. Discussion of politics or political figures (which always leads to political discussion), is against the rules at AK.

If you want to discuss politics, go to www.politicalchat.org and you can talk politics all day long.

Add one more who is getting sick of it (and the party crashers story). Both were interesting enough stories the FIRST time. Don't need them every ten minutes (or so it seems) around the clock for days, though.

The news media have to have something to write about, so this (Tiger Woods) will be the lead story until the next one comes along. I think the summit thing in Copenhagen will bump it off the top story perch, if nothing else comes along sooner. I'll be sick of that even more quickly, because of the media bias that will exist in the coverage.

Now you are making me want to look for myself. Ah, maybe tommorow.:D
In a nutshell?

Today's SF Chronicle:
The story soon shifted from a patrol investigation to sordid allegations into his personal life.

In the voicemail released by the magazine, a man says to Grubbs:

"Hey, it's, uh, it's Tiger. I need you to do me a huge favor. Um, can you please, uh, take your name off your phone. My wife went through my phone. And, uh, may be calling you. If you can, please take your name off that and, um, and what do you call it just have it as a number on the voicemail, just have it as your telephone number. That's it, OK. You gotta do this for me. Huge. Quickly. All right. Bye."

The Associated Press could not confirm Woods was the caller.

What disturbs me about the Tiger story is the notion that we, the public, have a "right to know" whether Tiger was having an affair. Don't know, don't care.

I think the White House crasher story is a bit different because of the Presidential security angle. However, giving these charlatans air time and print inches is just what they wanted out of their hijinks. Next time I want to hear about them is when they're thrown in the can for a couple of weeks/months for their shenanigans.

All I know is that when Tiger Woods plays again, there will be viewing records broken for a golf event.

That is the type of society we live in......

I've done my best to avoid it all. Haven't read any of the other two or three threads on it here. Haven't looked at the articles online or in the paper. When I first heard he was in a crash I was concerned that he had been hurt... that's as far as my interest goes. He keeps his private life private and I'm glad for that. If he had been all preachy and "holier than thou" about morality and crap, I'd enjoy his fall from grace. But he wasn't like that - he's human like everyone else, kept his personal stuff personal, and I'd like to just leave him be.

Sick of it myself! It's amusing to think that he got caught cheating by his wife and she was chasing him in the car that night with a golf club. Otherwise I could care less. I don't like golf myself.
