Those are the ones that I think my Technics SA:no:-800 cries out for every time I refuse to turn it up past 3.

The M10000s are supposed to be in another league, altogether. I'll take performance over looks 11x out of 10.

Besides, I'd have a shot at the wife finding the M10000s acceptable. The chance of Christie allowing the SB-10000s in the living room are almost comically low.
 
Over here! Technics SB-6000 (non a) on the complete Technics SH-9010, 9020, 9030, Pre SU-9070 and dual SE-9060 as mono amps for each SB-6000 one. Also attached are the RS-1506 reel to reel and a tapedeck M85. Of course I have the little reel to reel cassettes, but the sound quality sucks. Best is the TDK MA R90 aluminum cassette. A linear B3 turntable is somewhere under the couch, ready to be pulled out- I need a 14 or 12 series one asap! CD is a mid range PG380A, but I am getting the SL-990 probably this weekend.

Beautiful gear with a great sound. No subwoofers needed. Detailed mids, although its a big 2 way. I really want to hear the SB-7000s.

In the bedroom I have the ST-9600 tuner with the integrated SU-8600. The are the units powering the SB-F3. A 5KG 30 CM high little speaker with full aluminum enclosure and a horn tweeter. No harshness to be found, I can listen to them all evening! Of course some bass is missing, but still - those little guys give out a great response down to about 60Hz. Linear phase as well.

Last Sunday I found a pair on CL for free; I thought they'd be Rack system junkers but they turned out to be SB-8's.

They have the 13 inch aluminum honey comb bass drivers and they need new surrounds.

These are fantastic speakers, I hooked them up to test them and they sound fabulous.

Finally got my SB-X305`s refoamed and am pretty impressed with them . Very well balanced and are revealing of the amplification . I am running them now with a Luxman RX-102 and they sound nice .

I love those speakers design and would looove to hear the flat membranes.

One must be sitting perfectly in the steareo triangle? I bet they pinpoint the sound like a laser beam?

Thanks for the info on the surrounds; I measured every which-way and decided to order some 12 inch surrounds from Parts Express.

I figure I'll give it a shot... it can't be harder than when I did the OLA Masonite Woofers!!!

I re-foamed my SB-8's...twice!

No dust caps, so I just eyeballed it; had some serious VC rub.

Re-foamed with a battery hooked to them and viola!

They sound great being driven by an old Yamaha amp in the finished basement.
 
I have a set of sb-107s that I use, built in 69/70 3 way good quality and sound, hard to find much info about them.
