who in the heck would buy this??????????

But that's ok. We've got our own roller coaster...somewhere in this picture.

Amusement park rides are dismantled and moved to other parks all the time. Besides, they have to get to the park from the manufacturer somehow... Shipping something like this is expensive and difficult, but far from impossible.

If you charged $5 per rider, you could gross around $6000 per day assuming the coaster runs 100 times per day (8 hours straight, every 5 minutes, full occupancy). Barring other costs, you may be able to recoup your investment in 33 days if you spent $200,000. Even if it took 3 months to fully recoup it would be a great venture.

The trick here is to ferry this thing to another country, where they don't have roller-coasters. People would line up for miles.

Run it for two weeks, then sell it to a local entrepreneur. Count your newly found money all the way home.

I can tell you right now who would buy it, transport it, and set it back up: The Chinese.

I have been there many times, have seen everything from steel mills to factories, bought by them, workers brought to the country where the factory/mill/equipment/ride is, and then shipped back, re-built, and back on line.

I bet there is an offer already from them on it. I would not be surprised if they bought it for full price.
