Who is the youngest person on these boards?

I think I got a little past 18, maybe 25 or so. My mind still rebels at the information my body gives it. According to my father who will be 75 in 9 months or so "Getting old sucks." His other words of wisdom were to "Never trust a fart." Since he had children he must be around 45 or so in the head, which is younger than my body is............not bad. Oh yea, he told me 3 things. The 3rd is to never waste an erection. Now you know the 3 rules to getting old, even if only 2 are rules.:D

Aw, heck!

I'll be 44 in August. Got the grey hair to prove it, too.

I have a theory, though, that males stop maturing mentally at age 9. My friends can tell you this is certainly the case for me. I STILL appreciate the sophisticated humor in making someone shoot milk out his nose.

21 years old here.

My vintage gear has consisted of:

Carver M200t
Sansui 5500 receiver *currently on the market*
Dynakit st-35 tube amp

Not much to speak of.

Just turned 36 last month. Crap, I can remember when my Dad was younger than me. The gear he has was new when Roger Whittaker was cool :D
Besides, I just had to hang on long enough to have all my old crap be cool again......... break dancing anyone?:p:

Well children :D , just relax and don't sweat it. I turned 73 last December, but I'm planning on another 30 and may just make it as our doctor says I am bad for business.

I met the delightful lady, best friend and lover to whom I am married at age 53 and ever since have asked Him for another 30 years, He has probably caught on by now and we are just hoping He is in a generous mood.

The picture is around here somewhere in another thread.

BTW, I realize that irony does not do well in print, but I was not offended by the geezers comment.

WHAT SAAYYY SONNY.... ?

Well, I just turned the 'double nickel' last month. I get mail from ARP because I guess I'm now considered a 'senior citizen' but, I refuse to acknowledge it! It goes right in the trash!

Actually, I think it the good mix of all ages that makes AK work so well.

I'm out, gotta go take my pills. :D

I will be 48 in July,I would have been 49 but I was sick a year!
I have the gray hair, but it is all there!I don't feel much different then I did in my 20s,except a little calmer.
I live by what Jimmy Buffett said"I am growing older not up"I find life funnier now than in the past.I find people funnier and time moves slower.
I do laugh though when the young'uns at work look to me for advice, obviously they see something I don't .

I'll be 47 in June. What was the line from the "M*A*S*H*" theme ? "The Sword of Time will Pierce our Skin/ It Doesn't Hurt when it Begins/ But as it works its Way On In/ The Pain Grows stronger, Watch it Grin...Suicide Is Painless...." I thought that was funny when I was a whippersnapper in college, it ain't so damn funny anymore....-Sandy G.

AGE

Well l'm 54 and my wife who's standing beside me will testify to the fact l'm hung like a bull and l'm still a stud.

Whats that dear; what its not true, but thats what you've been telling me. Oh l see. :p:

Damm just found out my hearing going too she's been telling me l'm smart like a bull and l'm still a dub.:(

Anyways isn't that guy Pro Ac the youngest member saw his picture he's what 14, 15 years old. I'm also basing this quest on his knowledge (or lack of) about women and vintage audio.:D :D

Mail from AARP (what I think you meant) doesn't count. I'm 48 and I've been getting solicitations to join for the last 5-10 years from them.-kby

I turned 55 last month too. Somewhere along the line people under 40 started calling me sir and holds the door open for me. Don't need it and don't feel insulted at all when they would do that.

The nice thing about the white hair is being able to speak your mind. I have always taken the view that when you see a pretty woman coming toward you, you should smile, if only because she added a bright spot to the day (you would be surprised how many smiled back). But now I can tell her how pretty she looks and she knows darn well that I am not coming on to her. I am really surprised at how many will comment on the white hair, even perfect strangers. I just tell them to admire it while they can as it is rapidly turning pink and I will soon be combing it with a washcloth.:D
