Thank you. I see your rounding up the good stuff yourself. Do you have plans for speakers? That's the hard part. I've picked up some Bozak302A and Rectilinear 111's that will displace most of these.

Well, I picked up both sets of Advents this weekend. I have a pair of American Monitor 8. Some Koss CM 8s I think.
Last week I picked up the RCA Victor speakers below.

I'm from the other school: I want my gear as small as possible, if commensurate with sound quality, and if needed, power. Minimalism — if it were possible my gear would be invisible, the music would just "be in the room". Of course I'll make exceptions if a component is truly exceptional — I once passed on a 100V Denon receiver because it was huge, but everything about it reeked of quality; the vents allowed a good view inside, the component-quality and layout were stunning, preamp/power amp/tuner sections were really separates with independent power supplies, sharing only the casework and on/off switch. It was clearly High End exclusively for Japanese audiophiles ... I still lose sleep over that bad decision.

And speakers are always an exception — I have some highly esteemed 2-way monitors with stunning nuance and imaging, but I just can't resign myself to their "small sound". Subwoofers don't really help, they only produce "small sound with bass."

That is what I like about the HK 330c. It is simple and elegant. I think it makes a great combo with the Philips GA-212 and the Advent Legacy speakers.

Stock pic but my Rotel 802 clocks in at an even 24" wide. Low and lean she tears up the track with her aerodynamics and roars to the gate with a modest 50wpc under the hood.

That does appear to be able to handle the ups, downs and sweeping curves of any musical terrain it encounters.

I really like mine and don't put it into the rotation often enough. I usually like the "blackface" iterations of vintage silver equipment but like the Rotel so much better in it's silverface version. I was just thinking I never had it hooked up to any of my Kef speakers when I reread this old blogspot and see he auditioned it with some Coda III's.

Not too much Rotel info out there I wondered if this was TOTL for the mid 70's for them until I found out about this basically unobtainable hunk of vintage iron. I would die a happy man if I good get my hands on one of these without taking out a second mortgage.
