For amplifiers and speakers, I'm as close as I will probably get with my budget, due to some lucky finds. Of course, I keep my eyes open for luckier finds, and I still can afford some source improvements.
On perfection
(DISCLAIMER: For purposes of this argument, spouses and all other forms of Significant Others are excluded.)
If the Human Thing Collector ever does acquire a thing which is perfect, or near perfect, and exposes Itself to the thing's influence enough, It's human nature will allow It to become slightly jaded with what It experiences from it. What the human thing collector needs is to acquire at least two of the desirable things collected, with at least one of the collected things being purposely inferior to the other(s). With this scenario in place occasional exposure to the inferior performance of the inferior collected thing will keep the Human Thing Collector more attuned to the virtues of the superior thing(s) collected.
Perfection is out there! However, the Human Thing Collector requires an occasional reminder that he (or she) has it when he (or she) has it.:scratch2:

All of my systems are perfect although some are more perfect than the others. I'm working to make those even more perfect; in fact - perfecter.
This whole hobby is a conundrum. The desire for perfection but the inability to see it until it has passed you by.
