The topmost unit on your first picture seems to have 'AM TUNER' ont its faceplate.
Is it AM (MW and LW?) only? Regards.

Exactly. Radmor 5122 is only Tuner AM (SW, MW and LW). Radmor 5102 has only LW so the AM tuner is needed.

So I assume there is still a lot of interesting AM (LW/MW/SW) broadcasts
in Poland. Here in Canada (as far as sound quality is concerned) the CBC
(national service with two French and two English radio networks) has moved
nearly all of its transmissions on FM, so a hi-fi AM tuner is about just a museum
piece. Good day again.

It is rather the residue of the 70'. Nowdays on the AM are mostly local radio stations.

It's fun to hear from forum members from all over the world.

My paternal grandparents were both born in Poland, though I never met them. I was put up for adoption at birth and never had a chance to know that side of my family. According to my Mama, I believe I inherited my father's Polish nose <grin>.

My other genetic roots are from Prussia/Germany.
