Looks 70s to me and the black and silver receiver screams 70s. Fisher was the only brand (that was putting compenents in consoles) that made anything black and gold face in the 60s and that was the late 60s. So if that is a fisher receiver it's no earlier than 67 or so.

I have to admit for being gaudy it would make an interesting piece to resto-mod. Huge talking point for parties and things.

Hard to be sure but that receiver may be a US-made Sherwood. Winter is coming; save the Sherwood, heat the house with the rest.

Definitely the tallest, but not the longest. I once saw a Telefunken (think it was anyway) in a second hand store, nice tubey receiver built in with those piano keys, AM/FM/SW, TT and all...and speakers on either end...thing must have been 12 ft. long, no lie. It was not a fugly cabinet but a blonde solid wood and tall enough to be a buffet/sideboard or bottom of a china cabinet. Often wondered what happened to it, some schmuck probably junked the electronics and used it for a buffet.
