Worst score on CL Vanderbach white van speakers $2,400!

Their press kit says they're #1 in Germany and #2 in Sweden.

I wonder if Bach & Odin will sue Vanderbach? Seems like Vanderbach is trying incorporate the famous Bach name into their brand to syphon away customers from buying the world renowned Bach & Odin products. :D

/although, it's probably the same company re-branding their crap product

I would have threatened to place charges with a threat like that!

You dial 911 in your lap, keep him talking, and describe the situation and location in your dialog....

Actually, conventional wisdom is con artists can and will get violent if they feel threatened. You'd want to stay in your vehicle.

Sad fact is: they're still having success doing it or they'd have gone under long ago. Once the word gets out on some of the current brand names, they reinvent themselves all over again with new ones like 'Vanderbach'. McLaren Technologies is one of the hot ones down here in the Dallas area.

They mimic popular brand names and logos as closely as they can without getting heat from copyright laws and trademark infringement: Kirsch for Klipsch for example.

The hyped tech stuff is really funny: How do you have a 3-way speaker with one crossover point?

I got an added chuckle from CL's warning in red letters at the top of the listing:

"Avoid scams and fraud by dealing locally!"

White vans are local everywhere ... :thumbsdn:

Of course the $1,200 one was here in Palm Beach County and the $300 unit was in Miami. Pretty funny to see them so close to each other and at such wildly differing prices. (Miami is about an hour's drive from Palm Beach County).

Well of course... you'd have to pay the cost of gas to drive down to Miami! ;)

You'd think these scams wouldn't work anymore with the internet and a smart phone you can check anything out before buying it.

It's not enough to have a smart phone. You should be intelligent enough to use it when needed.

They should rename it to WhiteVanderbach.
And pretty soon we'll see Mozartantz and Chopintosh.
Oh, boy!

Vanderbach's are wunderbar! :D WTF is a 5.1 ratio? :dunno: Ooh...and it has a 2,000 watt output too. :thumbsdn:

Vanderbach HRS-605, high quality surround sound professional system. 5.1 ratio, 2,000 watt output-Brand New!

5 to 1 ratio - asking price vs. what it's worth.

Should actually be more like 50 to 1 ratio.

Or maybe claimed output vs real output.

Some poor bugger paid almost $200 for this same set at an auction I was at recently. Happened to be the same auction where I picked THIS up for $40.
