I used to have one of those tapes when I was a kid. My uncle back then would send off tabs from his smokes and he would get merchandise form Camel, including a pack of those tapes. IIRC, they also packaged one of those tapes to a pack or carton of cigs as a promotion.

No need to poo poo on this thread bud. Type Is have their place. I use them to make mixes from my old MP3s and for FM dxing.

I find that they sound particularly nice when recording with dbx noise reduction applied.

Christmas gifts for audio buddies, Secret Santa gifts, exchange with others who are collectors. They will disappear quickly with a lot of people wanting "just one". 100 tapes for $3? Sure, sign me up.
