Yamaha A-1 high voltages

After I put top & bottom covers back and prior to powering it up I decided to check the new speaker terminals for shorts. To my surprise I get the continuity between the positive terminals and the chassis. The almighty chatgpt is telling me that some older this is possible in some older common-ground or single-ended output designs, but I am not sure if A-1 is sucha design.
Could someone please let me know if this is normal of if I should look for the shorts before I plug it back in?

I just checked two of my 5 A-1's One is in service and showed a short of about 3 ohms and the other about 2 ohms so I think its normal.

But to be safe turn it on with the DBT and measure for any DC on the speaker terminals, make sure you hear the speaker relay click.

Thanks for checking this for me.
Just to clarify the steps -
1. Power on amp through DBT
2. Red probe to positive speaker out; black to chassis
3. If there's DC an relay clicks it is fine

Is that correct?
 
Fairly sure with the A-1 you will only get a power up relay click if speakers are selected. And yes, when speakers are not selected the spkr terminals are shor
