Yamaha CR-800

So I just purchased an almost mint Yamaha CR-800 after reading the raving reviews for this series, Only damage is slight edge chips on the chassis. This is an upgrade from my Old Realistic Sta-84. I am excited to say the least, but I have some questions. I noticed it has a Preamp out, this is for connecting to a dedicated power amp, correct? It also has a main in? Is this for an external Preamp? "IF OUT" I assume is for a trigger of some sort.

Also, what components should be replaced assuming they need to be.

I found it from a guy from the community online who made a private listing for me so I could purchase it.

This should be quite an upgrade from my Sta-84. My Speakers are Boston A100s which I would imagine should sound amazing on this receiver. Besides obviously a "Natural sound", what can I expect in comparison to my Realistic? Good headphone amp? I do know the tuner is top notch. Any more information and insight on this receiver would be great! I paid $140 for it, which seemed really good compared to what even a not so good condition CR-600 go for.

As far as I can tell, the CR-800 is quite rare, as I can find no current listings anywhere online.

The first pic is my setup, receiver pics are from the listing.

Correct. This unit can be used as a dedicated pre-amp/tuner or as a dedicated power amplifier.Using the coupler switch to separate the pre-amp from the power amps.
IF out is for 4 channel FM <--- basically useless feature.

ok, That's really cool! Makes it very versatile.

Before you open it, spin the tuning dial all the way to one side. Helps in removing the case.

Looks like the big brother to my CR-400. Nice receivers.
