Yeah, I saw this guy on CL. He has a lot of stuff for sale. Including the Integra separates P-308, P-304 and matching M-504 amp, etc.

I already have a P-304 (got it for about $150) so this guy's pricing wouldn't be attractive to me. The amp is overpriced too. No Onkyo of that era is worth more than $300 tops. And if you're going to pay that there are more powerful amps at that price "used".

Blue Hill (an hour and a half or more from me). Don't need another pre at the moment though. Come on! As a Mainer, you know that no distance is too far from us??

I was looking at that earlier today also. I can see Blue Hill across Penobscot Bay on a clear day, but it sure will take a while to get there. I'm tempted to say it, but won't.

Looks like he's got quite a bit of gear. Might be worth a trip if you bring a wad of cash.

This one is for all of you who "sleep with a soldering station under your pillow"? Where do you find the "time" to learn all these superfluous electronics repairs skills? And the "desire".

When I come home. I'm so burnt that if my equipment gave me "any" problems I'd probably throw it out my window. lol

DIYers? I just don't get that. But then again, I was NEVER as "bored" as I was in Junior High Shop Class.

But, here is your chance to "salivate" and solder up! Of course I am "kidding" some, as we all rely on the DIYers and technicians when our stuff flakes out. So I'm glad someone was awake in shop class?

I agree about the DIY skills, but I'm digging in and trying to do it myself. Read this thread - http://audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=102176 - and got motivated to attempt a recap on a pair of KLH 20's - the caps arrived today.

I have this special talent to really hose things up, but it's a process of learning, in which I hope to gain at least some rudimentary skills. Here's the current status of my project.

Yeah, I saw that Sansui AU-70. That thing looks so nice, I'm kind of salivating over it. If I didn't have a few other tube units waiting repair right now before I decide what to do with them, I'd probably consider springing for it.

cnh2: As for the CX-1000, yeah Blue Hill is A LOT more than 1.5 hours from me so I'm going to pass. Hope someone here gets it...I'm sure it's great.
