I found a Yamaha M-4 and C-4 on my local classifieds? The woman want to sell the c-4 for $100 but not the M-4. She said she might sell though and asked me to name my price.

What is a reasonable offer for both together?

C-4 is a really nice preamp.

The C-4 has been selling for $200 or more lately for a nice one. I've never seen one for $100 to $150, unless it needs work. If you are into vinyl, it has a great phono section where you can connect 3 tables. Buy it and send it to avionic for a recap. It will last another 30 years.

Exactly...I have not seen any C-4's for less than $200, in good condition. The C-4 prices have gone up faster than the M-4 amp prices.

We have talked about how good the C-4 is louder and longer than we have discussed the M-4. Direct effect on the price of this preamp. No worries, I have mine and its been recapped and the VDs exterminated.

Update

The units sold. I guess my offer was a little on the low end but some of the higher numbers I'm seeing on this thread were out of my budget anyways.
