Gosh I thought that was a really exceptional mini-system.

Maybe not exceptional, but still not that ordenary. The MSRP of the setup with receiver, CD-P, Tape and DAT was 1.536,- €.

I see. Here in Ontario, EHR in Hamilton had it on in 1999 for $699 with an optional pair of Mission bookshelf speakers. Their pkg did not include MiniDisc.

I thought the cassette deck was better than most for a micro system (three-head I think)

Yes that was including cassette, stereo amp (not surround), tuner and CD Player.
