Yamaha MX1 Amp Opinions...Is it worth Having?

Hey superdog, do you have someone in mind to repair the MX-1? If you're not set on someone, I recommend sending it to EchoWars. You're going to love the MX-1.

I am going to try to get it fixed local.Echowars would be nice but shipping and his busy schedule make it not viable for me.I have had it on the backburner for awhile and now the time has come.I have read great reviews about this amp.This setup is where I probably draw the line as far obtaining more gear.

I have a CX-1 preamp and a MX-1 amplifier powering a pair of Infinity Kappa 8.1 and I can attest that they work very well together. Before the Kappa 8.1's, I had a pair of Kappa 6.1's and a Velodyne 12" sub and it was also very good. Since getting the Kappa 8.1's, I no longer need the subwoofer. So I believe you are on the right track and it will be a match for your 7.1's. Good luck.
