Yamaha p2200 peak meters

Hi folks,

I noticed that the peak meters are not moving at all to the music.
Sometimes when I first fire it up, they are responsive, and then quit again.

The amplified signal is fine and unaffected. The dials works as they should etc.

Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Further info:

left side was working well for a while today, right side barely moving. Panned left and right side became more responsive (strange since all signal was going left) panned right and nothing from left or right.

after a while, both stopped again.

you definitely have issues that need correcting, But Yamaha meters were never very accurate with dynamic signals. I liked the sound they produced and installed quite a few of them until we discovered QSC which were designed to fit in with more veried professional applications.

I think if you poke around on this forum or the Internet you will find some information about the meter problem.

As I recall, there is a meter driver module. What I don't recall is if there is one for each meter or a single for both.

Anyway, the point is to check/reflow the solder connections of the meter driver module(s).

Thanks everyone! I opened it up, touched the solder gun on some points, cleaned it up and it works!
Appreciate the help.
